Up4Diversity: scientific training for educators to be upstanders against violence towards LGBTIQ+ youth
The MEDIS research group (since 2023 IMSE, Social Impact and Education) from the Department of Pedagogy at the URV has led one of the 5 unique projects selected in the REC-RDIS-DISC-AG-2019 call by the European Commission to promote the effective implementation of the non-discrimination principle. The project is called UP4Diversity.

The Rovira i Virgili University organizes scientific dialogues in foster care centers and at the Can Brians adult education center. This program is promoted by the MEDIS research group (since 2023 IMSE, Social Impact and Education) of the University, together with IPHES (Catalan Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution) and ICIQ (Catalan Institute of Chemical Research).

URV Teaching Innovation Conference 2022
On March 29th, the URV Teaching Innovation Conference 2022 was held, organized by the Institute of Educational Sciences of the URV. It took place at the Campus Catalunya of the URV, and partial results of the INDOC 21-22 projects were presented.

Project IncluSTEAM broadcast on Radio Ciutat de Tarragona
In late March, the IncluSTEAM project was introduced on Radio Ciutat de Tarragona. This project is led by the MEDIS research group, along with the URV Divulga group, the Catalan Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution (IPHES), and funded by Repsol. Coordinated by researcher Maite Novo Molinero, the project aims to bring science closer to young people from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds and at risk of social exclusion.

MEDIS (since 2023 IMSE, Social Impact and Education) hosts the visit of two Polish professors from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań
On March 3rd, the MEDIS research group (since 2023 IMSE, Social Impact and Education) hosted the visit of Professors Ania Mańkowska and Michalina Kasprzak from the Department of Learning Process Studies at the Faculty of Educational Studies of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland). The visiting researchers are enjoying an ERASMUS+ mobility grant and were visiting the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Psychology at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.

The fourth edition of the FECYT project "Extended Learning Time IV: Helping to Create Scientific Vocations in Foster Care Centers" begins.
In January, the scientific workshops that are part of the fourth edition of the project, funded by the Spanish Federation of Science and Technology (FECYT) and led by the MEDIS research group (since 2023 IMSE, Social Impact and Education), began. The project aims to promote education and foster scientific vocations in vulnerable groups.

Final conference of the European Project Hei4Diversity: presentation of results
On December 16th, the final conference of the ERASMUS+ project led by the MEDIS-URV group (since 2023 IMSE, Social Impact and Education) Hei4Diversity Capacities to Prevent and Respond to any Form of Violence against the LGBTQI+ community in Europe (2019-2021) was held.
