Detection of Actions to Improve the Management of Religious Diversity in the Catalan Labor Environment

On December 5th, the advisory board of the project "Detection of Actions to Improve the Management of Religious Diversity in the Catalan Labor Environment" met for the second time. The project is funded by the Directorate-General for Religious Affairs (Government of Catalonia) and led by Dr. Carme Garcia-Yeste, a member of the IMSE group (formerly MEDIS). The aim of this meeting was to analyze the first results obtained and the future tasks to be developed. The main goal of the project is to find mechanisms to improve the situation in the workplace for women who wear the Islamic veil (hijab).
The members of the advisory board of the project are a group of young people who lead an association called Multicultural Muslim Youth, which aims to improve social cohesion between the different communities living in Catalonia. Their work is characterized by collaboration with governmental entities, associations with different interests, and experts in various fields. They mainly work on social issues such as education, healthcare, and social rights. The RELIG project started in October 2019 and will conclude in October 2020.
