Cadena SER Reus Interview with Dr. Oriol Ríos on masculinity and attractiveness

On April 27th, Cadena SER Reus invited Professor Oriol Rios, principal investigator of the IMSE group, to discuss what scientific evidence says about the roots of masculinities and their connection with bullying and gender-based violence.

Among the topics discussed, Professor Rios emphasized the importance of including the language of desire alongside ethics, to ensure that men with violent behaviors are seen as cowardly and undesirable, while non-violent and egalitarian boys and men are sexually attractive in all aspects and types of relationships.

Oriol, editor of the scientific journal SJR-Q3 "Masculinities and Social Change", provides an excellent overview of the scientific literature on masculinities with everyday examples, linking it to what can be done in education.

Coeducation, James Bond, romantic love, why "alpha" masculinity is successful... Don't miss the full interview: https://cadenaser.com/audio/1682598145667/
