SAFE participates in the 5th International Congress on Science, Feminism and Masculinities held at the University of Valencia

As part of the 5th Edition of CICFEM, held at the University of Valencia on March 3rd and 4th, the SAFE team took part in various debates offered by the Congress, addressing all branches of science from a gender perspective and taking the Sustainable Development Goals as a reference.

Dr. Carme García Yeste, principal investigator of the SAFE project, together with team researchers Dr. Silvia Molina, Dr. Laura Natividad, and Dr. Sara Carbonell, presented the paper "Models of conflict resolution for gender-based violence in schools based on bystander intervention: state of the art." This session provided an opportunity to share the first results from the project's initial phase, aimed at developing the state of the art. The analysis of the scientific literature related to gender-based violence conflict resolution models in educational settings based on bystander intervention was presented.

In the conclusions, it was highlighted how SAFE will contribute to SDG 5.2: eliminating all forms of violence against women and girls in public and private spheres, including trafficking, sexual exploitation, and other types of exploitation, by providing scientific evidence on how schools are contributing to the prevention of gender-based violence.
